Ingredients

- 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha
- 2 oz hot water (about 175°F)
- 3 oz steamed milk (oat, almond, or dairy)
- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- Whipped cream for topping
- Ice cubes (for iced version)
- ½ cup cold milk (for iced version)
- 2 oz cold filtered water (for iced version)
Instructions
- Sift matcha into a bowl to prevent clumps.
- Add hot (or cold) water and whisk in a “W” motion until frothy and smooth.
- Add sweetener if desired.
- For hot: pour in steamed milk, top with whipped cream, and serve.
- For iced: fill glass with ice, pour in cold milk, slowly layer matcha over, top with whipped cream, and serve with a straw.
Notes
Use high-quality matcha for best flavor and color. Chill tools for iced version to enhance layering. Lightly whip cream to keep it floatable.
