Description

A vibrant, creamy layered drink combining ceremonial-grade matcha and whipped cream for sustained energy without the crash.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha
  • 2 oz hot water (about 175°F)
  • 3 oz steamed milk (oat, almond, or dairy)
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Ice cubes (for iced version)
  • ½ cup cold milk (for iced version)
  • 2 oz cold filtered water (for iced version)

Instructions

  1. Sift matcha into a bowl to prevent clumps.
  2. Add hot (or cold) water and whisk in a “W” motion until frothy and smooth.
  3. Add sweetener if desired.
  4. For hot: pour in steamed milk, top with whipped cream, and serve.
  5. For iced: fill glass with ice, pour in cold milk, slowly layer matcha over, top with whipped cream, and serve with a straw.

Notes

Use high-quality matcha for best flavor and color. Chill tools for iced version to enhance layering. Lightly whip cream to keep it floatable.
